Today's NUT International Solidarity Committee meeting agreed a proposal to hold a conference on the privatisation of education globally. This will be an extension of the work the Union is already doing around the Global Education Reform Movement and its impact on our children's education.
The conference is planned for 16th May 2015 and will be a full day bringing together international and national experts on privatisation in education. As well as exploring the extend of privatisation, the driving forces and what resistance already exists, the conference will include practical sessions on resisting the privatisation of education at local and national levels.
Conference planning is in early stages but we hope to publish a full programme soon (an will be posted here). For more information, please do get in touch.
